The Rysy trail from Štrbské Pleso is one of the most iconic hikes in the High Tatras, leading to the summit of Rysy (2,503 m), the highest peak in Poland.

This hike is known for its alpine scenery, glacial lakes, and steep climbs. It is considered one of the most rewarding day hikes in Central Europe.

  • Lower Section: Begins at Štrbské Pleso and passes Popradské Pleso, with forest trails and gradual ascent.
  • Upper Section: Steeper terrain with rocky paths, chains, and exposed sections leading to the summit.

Due to its difficulty and alpine exposure, this hike is recommended for experienced hikers with good fitness and proper equipment.
