The Challenge

The GR20 is a long-distance hiking trail in the French island of Corsica. It runs north–south along the crest of the island's mountain range and is widely considered to be one of the most difficult hikes in Europe.

The trail is split into two distinct sections:

  • North (Calanque de Piana to Bavella): Known for its dramatic, rocky ridges and high-altitude passes. It is the most challenging and spectacular part of the trail.
  • South (Bavella to Conca): Features more forested valleys and gentler slopes, offering a slightly more relaxed (though still demanding) experience.

Whether you are an experienced hiker or a seasoned adventurer, the GR20 offers an unforgettable experience in one of the most rugged landscapes on the continent.
